Statement
I learned to meditate at age 17 when the stress of choosing the right college and career path was daunting for me. From the first day I noticed benefits: greater inner silence, calmness, focus, improved clarity and intuition, and broader comprehension. Today I balance running a growing management consulting firm with doing research. My research involves the use of the Transcendental Meditation technique as an intervention to develop cognitive capacity among executive leaders (business) and incident command teams (firefighters, military, emergency responders) in order to improve dynamic decision making under stress. I give time to the community through consulting projects, speaking engagements, and writing books and articles. Adding my TM practice twice a day to my daily routine continues to result in greater resilience to stress and more inner and outer fulfillment.
